ITV Emmerdale’s Caleb’s dramatic exit ‘sealed’ as wife Ruby takes revenge

Emmerdale may have teased a dramatic twist is ahead for Caleb Miligan after he was exposed on the ITV soap.

His affair with nephew Nate Robinson’s wife Tracy came to light last week, leading to a dramatic showdown. The Dingles have once again turned their backs on Caleb over his betrayal, while his wife Ruby Fox-Miligan has seemingly stuck by him.

Caleb had claimed they were over, but it seems they had reconciled amid his affair. After exposing his lies to the Dingles and driving a wedge between him and his family, Ruby kiss and made up with her husband, vowing to stand by his side.

But viewers saw she had something up her sleeve on Monday night, as the end of the episode drew closer. Ruby was seen seeking out Caleb’s nemesis Kim Tate, telling him she wanted her help.

Ruby made it clear she had revenge in mind, with her desperate to get her own back on Caleb. She asked Kim to consider teaming up with her to take down Caleb, wanting to fleece him and leave him with nothing – just like he’d planned to do to Kim last year.

Kim was initially unsure, until Ruby vowed to make her husband regret ever stepping foot in the village. Ruby was keen for her and Caleb to move away after the affair reveal, believing the bombshell would leave him with no choice but to leave.

It’s clear Ruby wants Caleb all to herself and feels threatened by his link to the Dingles, and his hopes to have a “proper family”. Ruby outed his affair in the hope of isolating him from them, hoping they’d start afresh elsewhere after their reunion, but Caleb is refusing to leave and wants to make amends.

Ruby looked furious by this and even asked him about his village future, and not happy with his answer she headed straight to Kim. it’s then that she told her how she planned to trick Caleb, after believing she was about to lose him for good.

She felt he would choose his family over her and would end up ditching her forever further down the line. Asked why she didn’t just divorce him, Ruby claimed Caleb had money stashed in places that she would not be given access to, so instead she wanted to claim everything she could before ending things between them.

Whether the pair will actually team up and target Caleb remains to be seen, but it’s clear Ruby is intent on keeping Caleb away from the Dingles, keen to get what she wants. But might things take a dramatic turn, resulting in Caleb exiting the soap?

If Ruby did destroy his relationship with his family and took everything from him, he’d have no reason to stay. Then there’s the fact Ruby keeps making comments like she “always gets what she wants”, alongside her determination to see Caleb pay – but could she end up going too far leading to a grim demise for her husband?
