ITV Emmerdale ‘confirm’ Belle Dingle’s death in harrowing scene as Tom King makes chilling threat

Emmerdale has seemingly hinted at a potential death for Belle Dingle after Tom King made a chilling remark during tonight's episode of the ITV soap

Emmerdale has hinted at Belle Dingle’s death in a harrowing Tom King scene tonight.

After the shocking scenes in last night’s episode, Belle managed to make her escape from Wales and headed back home, where she reunited with Lydia. She went back to her and Tom’s house to get her things, but he was there waiting for her.

“You are going nowhere,” he warned her in heartbreaking scenes, as she told him: “You can’t stop me.” It was then that he issued a chilling threat, leaving Belle horrified. He told her: “I will kill you before I let you leave this house.”

Belle was adamant she wasn’t going to stay and warned Tom what Cain would do. He said: “What do you think Cain’s going to do to you? You know the only reason why I haven’t told him is because I don’t want him going to prison for someone like you.”

Meanwhile, Tom actor James Chase has opened up about filming the tough scenes. Asked how he switches off, he said: “LI’ve played other complicated and villainous characters. I’m glad I’ve done that as it helped me coming into this.

“There are definitely days when we’re doing a lot of difficult scenes – a lot of manipulating, a lot of gaslighting, especially the physical stuff. But myself and Eden, we know we have to do this story really carefully. We have to keep our focus on getting the scenes right. I think once you’re done is if you’re happy with what you’re done, that’s most important.”

In an interview with The Mirror, James explained how he knew from the start that he would be involved in a domestic violence storyline. He shared: “When they offered me the part, I knew it was going to be a domestic violence storyline but I didn’t know to what extent. It was a shock at first. It took a bit of getting used to but as an actor, it’s great to play compelling and complicated characters. Yes, it is challenging at times but.. for me, it’s just been so important to make sure I get it right.”

The scenes have become harder and harder to watch, but James assured viewers the storyline would come to an end – but wouldn’t disclose when that would happen. He said: “It is good this storyline won’t last forever. I know there will be a finite end but working with everyone on Emmerdale is a dream in itself and I am proud to be part of it all.”

Could it all end with Belle’s tragic death – or will the Dingles manage to save her before it’s too late?
