ITV Emmerdale affair ‘sealed’ as legend grows closer to murderer amid marriage woes
Moira and Cain Dingle are at odds with one another and as tensions escalate, triggering volatile behaviour, Emmerdale viewers are convinced another woman could get involved.
Cain Dingle is no stranger to infidelity but could he really give his wife Moira a taste of her own medicine by having an affair with Ella Forster in Emmerdale?
Tensions have thrown life at Butler’s Farm upside-down in recent scenes of the ITV soap, with Moira (portrayed by Natalie J Robb) more than determined to protect her son Matty (Ash Palmisciano).
But in doing so, the farmer has lost sight of her link to the Dingle clan due to her nephew Samson’s devious actions, which ended up sending Matty straight to prison, while Cain (Jeff Hordley) was desperate to keep his family together.
The couple faced another obstacle this Tuesday, as members of the Dingle clan were reeling from Samson’s arrest, and Cain remained convinced Moira had turned his nephew in to the police.
The sparring is nothing new, however, as the pair – who are known for their relatively short tempers – have been locking horns for weeks, with Moira wishing Cain would be more presenter for his stepson Matty.
Moira’s snappy and volatile behaviour has left viewers on edge as most of them have lost their patience with the soap favourite. But according to them, Ella Forster (Paula Lane) could be the perfect friend (and more) for Cain as the pair grew somewhat closer in recent weeks.
Ella was revealed to have murdered her best friend as a child, leaving a horrified Liam Cavanagh to dump her while Cain has tried to play devil’s advocate, remembering how his own son Kyle also killed someone at a young age.
Liam tried to push Ella out of the Dales upon finding out her secret, leaving Cain to convince her she had a place in the eponymous village and he even helped her find a place to stay at the B&B. Later on, Cain comforted Ella in the wake of her silent miscarriage, also known as an anembryonic pregnancy and it’s all enough for viewers to theorise another affair will rapidly unfold soon.
“My spider senses tell me there’s chemistry between Ella and Cain. What do you think?”, one viewer commented on X, otherwise known as Twitter. Another added: “Is Moira turning into a psycho abuser like Tom? Cain off with Ella.”
A third continued: “Bet Ella comes back and has an affair with Cain now that he’s going to be going through troubles with Moira”, while a fourth commented: “Cain ditch Moira and get together with Ella.”
One theory emerged on Tuesday, after another row between Cain and Moira, and speculation led some viewers to think she could be set for a health ordeal, particularly as she seemed to forget she had once murdered Emma Barton and let one of her sons carry the blame.
“I’m starting to think Moira might be ill or something cos why is she acting like this? Has she forgotten she pushed Emma off a bridge to her death”, one soap fan commented. “Could Moira have early on set dementia or a brain tumour with her forgetting things”, another agreed.
“Is it going to turn out, that Moira has a medical condition ? She just acts weird sometimes, like she’s forgetful, it was like she didn’t remember, throwing the glass at Cain”, a third penned. “Moira has health issues, menopause maybe. She’s snappy all the time & blows hot & cold….mostly hot”, another wrote.
One social media user suggested that Moira could face menopause, much like soap legend Bernice Blackstock before her: “Are #emmerdale going down the menopause route for #Moira? It’s the only way to explain her rage and personality change?!”
Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) was revealed to have turned Samson over to the police after his girlfriend Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) saw he had called the police on his most recent call log, resulting in Samson’s arrest and subsequent four-year prison sentence.
