Emmerdale legend ‘set to be destroyed’ by Caleb – and it’s not Kim

Jimmy King (Nick Miles) received some worrying news while at work in tonight’s Emmerdale, unaware Caleb Milligan (William Ash) was actually behind it.

Yesterday, Jimmy sent Rodney (Patrick Mower) on a haulage job. When he returned, Jimmy revealed the goods from the lorry had been stolen.

In Mill Cottage, a satisfied Caleb sat on the sofa surrounded by boxes – the same ones that were taken from the vehicle.

When Ruby (Beth Cordingly) arrived, Caleb revealed to her that he needs some lorries for his new business, and sabotaging Jimmy’s business – which is co-owned by Kim’s (Claire King) partner Will (Dean Andrews) – seems like the perfect way to do it.

In tonight’s episode, Jimmy was paid a visit by an inspector. He explained it’s a spontaneous check, which left Jimmy feeling anxious.

The man wanted to check the tachographs, a device that’s fitted onto lorries to record speed, distance, driving time, and to ensure the driver takes the right amount of rest.

The inspector said that after checking the books, Jimmy had gone over the allotted driving time.

Somewhat taken aback, Jimmy was fearful when the inspector delivered a fine and revealed he has 28 days to pay it.

Back at home, Jimmy updated Nicola and admitted he hadn’t been entirely honest with recording his own drives, because he’s been doing a few more on the sly to earn extra cash and also distract himself from Angel’s (Rebecca Bakes) absence.

Disappointed, Nicola was left wondering how on earth they were going to pay the very hefty bill.

Meanwhile, in the village, the inspector pulled up alongside Caleb. He was pleased with the plan and prepared to pay the man £500. He then got quite cocky, however, and tried to tell Caleb he deserves £1k instead.

Annoyed at the greediness, Caleb told the inspector he won’t be getting a penny and walked away.

Following Ruby’s plot with Rose (Christine Tremarco), Caleb is now developing a plan of his own – it seems the goal to destroy Home Farm and everyone in it isn’t over yet.

What’s next for this couple?
