ITV Emmerdale viewers ‘rumble’ Aidan Moore’s link to the Sugdens in ‘Robert twist’
Emmerdale viewers believe Aidan Moore could be linked to more than one Sugden family member in a twist, after the ITV soap teased a plot for John Sugden
Some Emmerdale fans have guessed a new twist linked to former character Robert Sugden, amid the arrival of his secret half-brother John Sugden.
Amid an identity twist involving someone named Aidan Moore, viewers are wondering if Robert might end up returning. A big theory is that the mystery Aidan, or maybe even John himself, has been in prison with Robert.
Robert is currently serving time for the death of Lee Posner, who had raped his sister Victoria Sugden a few years ago. Robert attacked Lee and he collapsed, while a twist later on hinted it wasn’t him that caused his death.
Recently Victoria found out she had a secret brother, John, and he’s now in the village. But as he avoided talking about his time in the army, we saw him holding some dog tags with the name Aidan Moore on them.
Naturally this sparked a number of theories about who he was and whether John was legit. From a possible boyfriend, a lost loved one or even John’s ‘real identity’, there were plenty of ideas.

But now some fans are wondering if Aidan, whether he be John or someone else, could be tied to Robert and not by DNA. Perhaps it could spark the long-awaited return of Robert, amid fans speculating a comeback could be on the cards.
Taking to social media, several fans questioned if Aidan was someone who was in prison with Robert and perhaps they are targeting his family for a mystery reason. Some even wondered if it would lead to Robert’s return to the show for a dramatic storyline.
One fan posted: “Maybe Aidan is in jail with Robert Sugden.” Another said: “Anything to do with Robert?” as a third added: “He ends up in a cell with Robert & finds out Emmerdale & Vic & Aaron. Then falls out with Robert & decides to get revenge on the outside. Probably more plausible than ED’s story.”
Other fans have spotted a possible link between Aidan and a past character named Karen Moore, who was a fling of Jack Sugden. So could Aidan be another secret sibling for the family?
