Shocking Return in Emmerdale: Mysterious Face from the Past Set to Ruin Caleb and Ruby’s Lives!
Fans were instantly intrigued by Caleb Miligan (William Ash) when he first introduced himself as Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) half-brother back in 2022, and since then he has become a part of the Emmerdale furniture.
He was at the centre of a huge twist when he was revealed to also be the son of Frank Tate and the father of Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope), and fans gasped as his plan to take down Kim Tate (Claire King) was finally rumbled.
But the drama didn’t stop there, as he was soon joined in the village by wife Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) – and what a breath of fresh air she has been.
From warring with Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) to breaking up Tracy and Nate Robinson’s (Amy Walsh and Jurell Carter) marriage, there has been no shortage of drama – and comedy – where Ruby is concerned.
More recently, viewers have seen her run over Ethan Anderson (Emile John) in retaliation for him leaving son Nicky for dead – something that she later confided in Caleb about.
Since then, Emmerdale’s very own Bonnie and Clyde have made peace with Ethan’s family – but will it last?
Whether or not it comes from the Anderson family, there is certainly trouble ahead for Caleb and Ruby – as new boss Sophie Roper has revealed.
‘We’ve got Caleb and Ruby, who’ve landed in the village and had a real impact but we don’t know much about them,’ Sophie began, as she gave us the run down of what to expect from the eponymous village during her tenure.
‘There’s lots in terms of their history, particularly Ruby’s, that is yet unknown. We’re going to see a bit of a blast from their past come back and really give us more about this complicated relationship between husband and wife and the complicated family dynamics we have there.
‘So lots to stay tuned for in terms of Caleb and Ruby and their wider story.’
Ruby and Caleb were left devastated when son Nicky decided to leave the village with boyfriend Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) in recent scenes, after both men decided that they could no longer put up with their families’ lies.
This week, the couple turned their attention to Jai (Chris Bisson), who informed Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) that he’d sold Holdgate Farm, the large Georgian property on the outskirts of the village where he once lived, to his sister Priya.
He also told her that he’d sold Tenants Cottage to Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
She suddenly became fearful of her future, wondering whether she would lose her own home as he was now seemingly ‘skint’.
Jai acted innocent as said that honesty was the best policy, but we later saw him at Mill Cottage laughing with Caleb about the situation.
As he began to wonder whether he was doing the right thing, Caleb dropped poison into his ear and offered reassurance.
However, as he left, Ruby approached her scheming hubby, who told her that he ‘almost feels sorry for him’.
The two laughed and it became clear that he had an ulterior motive.
What do the couple have planned? And how will Jai react when he inevitably finds out? And could this story kickstart the storyline which will feature the new arrival for Caleb and Ruby?
