Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have one of the most enduring soapland bromances, but the Emmerdale duo’s friendship is in jeopardy as Aaron continues to fall for John Sudgen (Oliver Farnworth).

Mack remained suspicious of the village newcomer in Friday’s episode of the ITV soap, suspecting he was behind the bull incident up at Butler’s Farm that subsequently left him in hospital.

Aaron was quick to defend John, who he has been hooking up with in recent weeks, which led to a fallout in the village after Mack was discharged.

Tempers flared between Aaron, Mack and John, before Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) admitted she might have inadvertently caused the incident after leaving a gate open.

Mack refused to apologise to John, however, and warned Aaron that his lover was ‘a snake’.

After cooling down, Mack headed over to Mill Cottage to apologise to his best mate.

The pair reconciled, but when Mack suggested hanging out, Aaron was quick to rush him out, before it was revealed John had been hiding out in his bedroom the whole time.

The pair had fallen back into each others’ arms after Moira decided to let John go from Butler’s Farm. Aaron looked dejected when John announced he would be leaving the village, but it seems now as if he might be having second thoughts.

As Aaron’s continues to hook up with John, will his friendship with Mack be placed under further strain?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
