AN Emmerdale star has revealed she has been axed from a TV show – but begged fans not to boycott it.
Rachael Gill-Davis is best known for playing Gail Loman in the ITV soap.
She first appeared in 2019 before returning in a more permanent role in 2023.
However, Rachael has also worked on other projects around Emmerdale, and has revealed how one which she was particularly excited about hasn’t gone to plan.
Taking to her Instagram Stories to update her 1,339 followers, Rachael said: “Hi guys, so I’ve got a bit of bad news unfortunately.
“Er, last week I found out I’ve been cut from KAOS, that’s coming out today.”
She then half laughed/cried as she said: “She didn’t make it to the edit so for everybody that has been waiting for me to deliver you know those two lines that I had…in a short skirt….it’s unfortunately not gonna happen.”
With another awkward laugh she said: “I think what I’m asking is, I don’t want you to boycott the show. It comes out today, I got to read all eight scripts, I got to try on Jennifer Saunders’ shoe from Ab Fab…so all is not lost.”
Despite her disappointment at being cut from the Netflix series – which is fronted by Jeff Goldblum – she concluded: “It’s going to be mega, it’s insane.”
She then shrugged and zoomed in on herself as she half-joked: “I’m not bitter…but maybe a little bit.”
The actress then shared a screenshot which read: “All jokes aside – KAOS is legit one of the best scripts I’ve ever read and I just know it’s going to be INCREDIBLE! OUT TODAY.”
KAOS sees Jeff play Zeus, the ruthless king of the gods, as the show takes everything we know about Greek mythology and turns it on its head with a contemporary twist.
The cast also includes Debi Mazar, Billie Piper, and Suzy Eddie Izzard.
Zeus is harsh yet stylish, an all-powerful being who’s determined to hold onto his status by any means possible and believes humans don’t matter.
Speaking about his character, Jeff told Netflix: “My character is complicated and charismatic, not to mention cruel.
“Charlie Covell’s writing leapt off the page and struck my gizzard like a lightning bolt as something spectacularly smart, surprising, unexpected, profound, and deeply moving.”
