Emmerdale star teases ‘not everybody gets out’ as deadly explosion tears family apart

Emmerdale stars Natalie J. Robb and Beth Cordingly have teased the explosive fire scenes on the ITV soap that could leave more than one character dead, as a blaze rips through a barn

One Emmerdale cast member has teased a shock death on the ITV soap during their big fire stunt.

More than one fan favourite will be left fighting for their lives next week, as an explosion at Moira Barton’s farm leaves characters trapped. An incident with Moira sparks the blaze amid concerns for her health, with a showdown with Ruby Miligan leaving one of them unconscious.

As several residents rush to the scene to save the duo, a deadly explosion rips through the building leaving people trapped and no doubt injured. Those outside the barn are thrown to the ground as the blaze destroys the barn, but will everyone make it out alive?

It seems someone could die, with Moira actress Natalie J. Robb and Ruby actress Beth Cordingly both teasing the big scenes. Natalie told The Mirror and other press that “not everyone” may make it out alive, teasing tragedy could strike for Moira and her family.

While it’s teased Moira and Ruby are inside with John Sugden and Moira’s brother Mackenzie Boyd trying to save them, there’s also Moira’s husband Cain Dingle and his sister Chas Dingle at the scene. Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out who survives.

As for a death, nothing has been confirmed but Emmerdale is no stranger to killing people off during big stunts. Teasing someone could die, Natalie spilled: “There is an explosion, and maybe not everybody gets out of that explosion…”

Beth hinted it could be Ruby that perishes, teasing whether she had a future on the show. She said: “I’m hoping if we survive that we get more stuff together,” referring to filming with co-star Natalie.

Asked if the incident could be a turning point for Ruby if she survives, Beth said: “Yes I think perhaps it could, near death experiences affect people don’t they?”

Revealing all about the stunt work, Natalie went on: “They were very brave, there’s a moment where something happens and the fire is completely all around them and I don’t know how they did that really. It goes to show you that’s why that’s their job and we do our job. Quite scary moments but they were fantastic, very professional, all in one take when they did it.”
