Two Emmerdale legends feared dead as massive explosion erupts
A huge fire has ripped through a barn at Butler’s Farm in Emmerdale – leaving Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) for dead.
Despite their recent issues, there is no love lost between the iconic couple.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, Moira has been dealing with troubling unexplained health issues recently, and after suffering a seizure, she fell into up step-son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), giving him the impression that she was trying to lean in for a kiss.
The incident was witnessed by Caleb Miligan (Will Ash), who relaid it to a furious Cain. Caleb’s wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) also picked up on the news and headed over to taunt Moira.
Things quickly turned awry when Ruby clocked that she was behaving out of character, and she soon see and hear villainous Emma Barton – whose death she had caused by pushing her off a viaduct seven years ago.
Bolting the door, she grabbed a gun and began to aim it.
The pair couldn’t gain entry into the building, so John began to break the door down whilst Mack alerted authorities and his family.
After smashing a hole in the woodwork, the two climbed inside and had to move a fallen beam out of the way to reach Ruby.
When Cain, Caleb, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Will (Dean Andrews) arrived, they were shocked to see John carrying Ruby out – with Mack informing them that Moira was nowhere to be seen.
Unable to bare the thought of his wife trapped and alone, Cain charged in – against Chas’ advice – and swept her up.
The two walked through the flames with a blanket over them as a massive explosion knocked everyone outside off their feet.
Will the Dingle couple perish in the fire?
