Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) is a haunted man on Emmerdale, as the blackmailer who ‘knows what he did’ with Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) is clearly not giving up.
Rose was working for Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) in trying to sabotage Will’s marriage to Kim Tate (Claire King). Eventually Will and Kim found out what Rose was up to and dumped her by the side of the road, ordering her to leave the Dales for good.
But this wasn’t before Rose had lured Will into a night of passion. And now a mystery blackmailer is threatening to let Kim know all about this if Will doesn’t stump up quite a lot of cash.
Will recently had a plan to confront the blackmailer when he dropped off the agreed money, but this plan was thwarted when he was called upon to help with the barn fire at Butlers. It also meant he missed the cash drop – something that seriously annoyed the blackmailer.
In upcoming episodes Will is in despair when the blackmailer increases the amount they’re demanding to £50k. The only person he can think of who has that kind of money available is Caleb (William Ash), and Will goes cap in hand to his former enemy to ask for a loan in return for shares in his and Jimmy (Nick Miles)’s haulage business
When Will tells Jimmy what he’s done Jimmy is furious, seeing Will’s actions as a betrayal of their agreement after Jimmy pulled out of selling Caleb his shares previously.
That’s the least of Will’s worries as he later arrives back home to find no sign of Kim. Then he gets a call from the blackmailer, to say they’ve abducted her – and giving detailed instructions about how to get her back.
Will arrives in a secluded woodland area with the cash, desperate to save his wife. But rather than finding Kim, he finds a mannequin dressed in Kim’s clothes, goading him further into the woods.
Has Kim devised elaborate revenge on Will because she knows all about his actions with Rose? That would be a very Kim-like thing to do and a guaranteed way to make Will sweat.
Or could the truth be even more sinister, and Kim is actually in deadly danger?
