Emmerdale: John Sugden REFUSES To Become Part Of The Legacy Family
It’s only been a while since Oliver Farnworth debuted on Emmerdale as John Sugden, but the newcomer is already making waves on the ITV soap. While the man has an air of mystery surrounding him and prefers to stay hush-hush about his life, his secrets have begun to spill out. We recently found out that before coming to the village, he worked as a medic in the army.
Upon his arrival, John’s half-sister, Victoria Sugden, tried to reconnect with him and has constantly been trying to make him a part of the legendary Emmerdale family. Unfortunately, John is coming across as a very detached human and is not interested in laying down any roots anywhere, whatsoever.
The Victoria actress, Isabel Hodgins, recently told the media that John is like a ‘lone wolf’. He is showing no interest in being a part of the Sugden family, and it is really distressing for Victoria. She feels sad that the Sugden family has dwindled in number over the years on the soap. The actress reflected that when she had first come on the soap, the Sugdens were big in number.
“We were all around the table having breakfast and stuff,” Isabel recalled. Thus, it really is a nice effort to try and re-establish the Sugden family. Unfortunately, John doesn’t care. “He’s very much, he’s staying in the village until he can drive off in his van. That’s his life, it revolves around that van. So he doesn’t care about the Sugdens,” Isabel noted.
However, the latest spoilers tease that John’s stance may change soon. In the upcoming episodes, John changes his mind about leaving the village when Dr. Liam offers him a job at the Surgery. He decides to accept the job and stay back in the village. But what could be the reason behind the change of mind?
Could it have something to do with Aaron? Or will John finally start thawing towards Victoria and slowly accept being part of the family?
