Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ for Kim Tate 35 years after debut as soap ‘confirms’ murder twist

Emmerdale fans are fearing the worst for soap icon Kim Tate, after her ex-husband Will Taylor made a sinister threat about her future in the Dales - hinting she could be killed off

Emmerdale seems to be hinting at a fatal twist for soap veteran Kim Tate.

The character, portrayed by Claire King, first graced the Dales in 1989 and has since become one of the show’s most memorable figures. Over her tenure on the soap, she’s been embroiled in some of its most significant plots, from affairs to even staging her own death, her stint in the Dales has been anything but dull.

Currently, Kim is bracing for more drama following the shocking dissolution of her marriage to Will Taylor (Dean Andrews). Viewers will remember that Kim was unveiled as his blackmailer last week, after his steamy night with ex-wife Rose (Christine Tremarco).

In a dramatic turn of events, Kim lured him into the woods and pushed him into an empty grave, revealing herself as his blackmailer. Since then, Kim has demanded a divorce from Will.

However, he is hellbent on ruining Kim. Engaging in a battle with his ex-wife, Will is resolved to claim half of Kim’s wealth – despite their pre-nuptial agreement.

Naturally, Kim has declared war too, fighting for her assets – but fans now worry that things are about to take a lethal twist.

In Tuesday’s episode (September 24), Will was left seething after discovering Kim had slept with her financial advisor Peter, reports Leeds Live.

An enraged Will asserted to Kim that Home Farm is his turf and brazenly boasted that his bank balance overshadows hers by the double.

To this, Kim eerily responded, “Over my dead body,” prompting Will’s chilling retort: “That can be arranged,” hinting at a potential murderous plot twist.

Emmerdale viewers caught the ominous exchange, with one fan remarking on a show’s Facebook group, “Did anyone else hear Will threaten to kill Kim?”

Another chimed in with, “I did! Maybe it’s the next big storyline a Kim Tate whodunnit.” Someone concurred, saying: “I really hope not, but who knows!”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
