Emmerdale spoilers: Vanessa Woodfield takes drastic action for Suzy Merton which breaks Mary Goskirk
All hopes for Mary Goskirk (Louisa Jameson) and Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) having a little romance have been dashed, Emmerdale fans.
Oh, how we hoped, when their lingering looks seemed to be telling us a message. And when after the wedding, there were sparks all over the shop as the two gazed into each other’s lives.
It’s been a wonderfully satisfying frisson to witness over the last few weeks. But then Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) blew back into town and blew up any chances of the romance of the century.
In seconds, Mary went from tingling excitement to utterly crestfallen as she watched Suzy fawn over Vanessa.
Vanessa and Suzy got talking and reminiscing, and before either of them knew it, they were kissing for old time’s sake.
Vanessa then didn’t waste any time in telling Suzy that it was just a silly moment between them and that getting back together was a bad idea. Crushed, Suzy gave up.
But Vanessa didn’t really mean it, she’d blurted it out in a moment of pure awkwardness and instantly regretted her words. Now she’s on a mission to try and win Suzy back.
Gail holds a karaoke night at The Woolpack, which provides Vanessa with the perfect opportunity to serenade Suzy.
It works; Suzy is putty in her hands and before long they are back face on face.
But just as they do, Mary catches a glimpse.
Her feelings for Suzy have gone past the point of return and she’s crushed to realise her love is unrequited. How will Mary cope with this heartbreak?
