Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Debbie Dingle will be making a return to the village following the announcement of her grandfather Zak's tragic death
Emmerdale fans are speculating that Debbie Dingle is set to make a comeback following the announcement of Zak Dingle’s death.
In Monday’s (October 14) heart-wrenching episode, the villagers were informed about the tragic passing of Zak (played by Steve Halliwell), with the news reaching his son Cain (Jeff Hordley).
Recent episodes saw Cain travel to Scotland to visit his daughter Debbie (Charley Webb), who was staying with her ailing father Zak. Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) was content chatting with her husband over the phone, enquiring if he was driving.
However, shortly after ending the call, Moira suffered an absent seizure while preparing breakfast, resulting in her burning herself.
Moira, who is battling a brain tumour, had to be helped by her son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), but she was frustrated at her inability to perform even the simplest tasks, reports the Manchester Evening News.
In an unexpected turn of events, Moira received a call from the hospital informing her that her brain surgery could be scheduled for the next day due to a cancellation. The sudden news left her frightened, but she chose not to share it with Cain.
Faced with the daunting prospect of a high-risk operation, Moira asked Matty to accompany her on a walk to the graveyard of her late daughter Holly (Sophie Powles).
Eventually, Moira agreed to proceed with the surgery but was taken aback when Cain unexpectedly returned home, hoping to surprise her.
Cain revealed Zak’s improved spirits upon returning home, yet Moira remained silent about her forthcoming medical procedure.
As Cain ascended to shower, leaving Matty to duck out, a call from Debbie interrupted the calm.
Moira, struggling not to break down, relayed the devastating update that Zak had passed away. With the Dingles poised for turmoil, Emmerdale viewers swarmed social media to speculate on Debbie’s potential comeback amid her exchange with Moira.
One fan reached out on Twitter: “Say what you want, but I need a Cain, Charity, and Debbie reunion now #emmerdale.”
