Aidan’s Awake, Mack’s Gone, and John’s FINISHED! Emmerdale Wedding Trailer Drops BOMBS!
Ahead of the wedding between John Sugden and Aaron Dingle, a brand-new Erdale trailer has just been released. John has done everything in his power to keep his secrets buried in the hope of marrying Aaron and living happily ever after. But Aiden Moore is becoming a serious threat. Though still unable to speak, he has woken from his coma and will soon start asking Jon questions — raising suspicions about how much the injured man remembers about their past.
The villagers are shocked to learn that the lake near the village is being dredged following the slurry tank accident — an event that Jon himself orchestrated. Jon is now panicking once more, fearing that Nate Robinson’s body may soon be discovered. The trailer confirms several tense scenes in the upcoming week, including one where Aaron confronts someone — possibly Jon — and demands, “Stop lying to me.”
Although the teaser shows Jon and Aaron walking down the aisle, fans are left wondering: Where is McKenzie? If Paddy is acting as Aaron’s stand-in best man, could Jon have harmed McKenzie?
Sadly, Chas wants her son’s wedding to be perfect, but that dream may be shattered if he ends up marrying a m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r. Actor Oliver Farnworth, who plays Jon, opened up about what viewers can expect from the wedding episodes.
“It’s actually really cool. When I first read the scripts, I was like, ‘What is going on? How is this going to work?’ They explained it to us, and each episode has its own unique style — with multiple potential wedding outcomes.”
Jon considers all the possibilities until the actual moment arrives. Oliver believes that viewers will tune in for the first episode and then quickly adapt to the storytelling format.
“Erdale is really embracing flashbacks and bold storytelling techniques. Viewers are more used to that now. It really enhances the drama.”
He recalled filming the Nate revelation back in July last year, all shot on location during the barn fire scenes.
“What’s interesting is that the audience knows the truth before the villagers do — they’re taken on the journey with Jon.”
Oliver added that the use of storytelling “gadgets” makes everything more engaging.
After Nate Robinson’s body is recovered from the lake, Erdale fans are anticipating a massive showdown between Cain Dingle and Jon Sugden. As fans recall, after Nate’s marriage with Tracy Metcalfe collapsed, he moved to Shetland for a fresh start. However, since then, only a short text confirmed his arrival — and when he stopped paying child support, Tracy became suspicious.
Flashbacks later showed Nate’s last moments in the village, near the time of the barn fire. Jon had promised to help Nate, who was wounded, but after giving him an injection that caused a fatal reaction, he chained his body and threw it into the lake — the very same lake now being dredged.
Cain and Nate had a rocky relationship, especially after Nate was suspected of having an affair with Moira. In their last encounter, Jon accidentally answered a call from Cain using Nate’s phone.
Laura Shaw, Erdale’s producer, confirmed that the lake is being dredged due to contamination from the slurry tank incident — putting Jon in serious jeopardy just before his wedding.
Fans are speculating that Jon has even more to worry about — especially if Cain confronts him after learning the truth. One fan asked: “Who would win in a fight?” Years ago, they’d pick Cain, but his past fights with Nate prove he’s not invincible.
More dark secrets from Jon are coming to light. Since arriving in August 2024, Jon has caused turmoil. Not only did he k.i.l.l Nate, but he also spiked Chas, caused Jacob Gallagher’s reaction, tried to frame Ella Forrester, and even orchestrated the slurry leak to frame McKenzie Boyd — who has grown increasingly suspicious of him.
With the lake being drained and nightmares of being caught haunting Jon, fans are getting a sneak peek into what’s coming next week. Meanwhile, Belle Dingle traveled to Shetland hoping to find Nate, only to return and tell Sam that Nate never showed up for work.
“There must be a reason. He loved Frankie. Why would he just disappear?”
Belle grew more confused in the latest episode, questioning why Nate would cut ties with his family. When she confided in Jon, he quickly intervened, telling her not to report Nate missing. He even asked Tracy for help to stop Belle from contacting the police.
Now, fans wonder if Belle might be Jon’s next victim, as she gets closer to uncovering the truth. One viewer commented:
“Belle is onto him — she’s going to expose him.”
Others fear for Belle’s safety, with one saying:
“How many people have to d.i.e before they realize what Jon’s up to?”
Meanwhile, more chaos is brewing at Home Farm, where the fate of Joe Tate has been revealed. After his attack, Joe fell into a coma, but upon waking, he confronted Dawn, who had pushed him out of a window. Joe originally threatened her but later claimed it was all an accident — and lied to investigators, saying he didn’t remember who did it.
However, Billy Fletcher is now blackmailing Dawn, threatening to report her unless she gives him full custody of their children. Joe has had enough. He threatened Billy with legal action if he didn’t back off.
Kim Tate was caught in the middle of this web of lies. But before things escalated further, she dropped a bombshell — she was leaving the village for Dubai.
So what’s next for Home Farm?
With Kim gone, Billy isolated, and Dawn trying to protect her children — the drama isn’t letting up. And with Jon walking down the aisle carrying more secrets than ever, fans should prepare for the most dangerous wedding in Erdale history.
As the chilling new ITV trailer warns:
“This might not end with ‘I do.’ It might end with… ‘You’re under arrest.’”
Stay tuned.
