BBC EastEnders’ Bobby Brazier ‘set to join I’m a Celeb’ after he quits soap
EastEnders star Bobby Brazier is set to leave the soap later this year after three years of playing Freddie Slater, and it looks like he could already have his next move lined up
EastEnders favourite Bobby Brazier is set to make waves in the telly world even after he bids farewell to the iconic BBC One soap later this year.
The 22-year-old actor, son of the unforgettable Big Brother star Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier, has been a hit as Freddie Slater on EastEnders since 2022 but is scheduled to make his exit in upcoming episodes airing later this year.
A spokeswoman for EastEnders shared with The Sun: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
An insider revealed to the publication that the decision for Bobby’s departure was mutual, with the actor himself keen to explore new ventures, though fans will still catch him on Albert Square for a bit longer.
Not only has Bobby stolen hearts on EastEnders, but he also shone bright on the dance floor during the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside pro Dianne Buswell.
The pair came in close as runners-up behind former Corrie sweetheart Ellie Leach and her partner Vito Coppola, reports Belfast Live.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Bobby is already being tipped for an adventure-packed return to our screens, this time rumoured to join the line-up for this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
It’s a thrilling year for I’m a Celebrity fans, with not just the main show to look forward to in November 2025, but also an All Stars spin-off set to sizzle, bringing back legendary faces from past seasons for a second stint in the jungle, now located in the stunning backdrop of South Africa.
Late last year, presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly watched as McFly’s Danny Jones was crowned king of the jungle on the ITV reality show.
Coleen Rooney secured second place, while the Reverend Richard Coles finished third.
According to recent betting odds, Bobby is currently at 3/1 to join I’m A Celeb. However, he could also kickstart a career as a presenter with odds standing at 8/1.
Three years after Bobby’s arrival in Walford, it seems the star might bag a role in rival soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale, with current odds for both at 16/1.
