BBC EastEnders drops huge clue who attacked Cindy Beale as key evidence found
Cindy Beale was shockingly attacked as her affair with Junior came to light - but fans are now convinced they know who attacked the Beale matriarch in the huge scenes
EastEnders fans are sure they now know who attacked Cindy Beale – as key evidence was found this evening.
Tonight’s episode of the BBC soap again focused around Cindy’s shock attack. Earlier this week, fans suspected Ian Beale might be to blame for the attack on Cindy as he pulled a smirking face when he told his partner he’d “always protect” her.
In big scenes this evening, the shovel which was used to attack Cindy was seen in the barrel store of the Queen Vic, with Cindy’s b.l.o.o.d still on it – and leaving fans convinced they know who might be the k.i.l.l.e.r.
Taking to Reddit, fans discussed the big storyline – with one writing: “They’re making it a bit obvious now with the shovel being in the barrel store with b.l.o.o.d on it, wasn’t Anna or George or Linda or Annie or Ollie, Gina was probably on another bender with someone then that leaves just Elaine and Kojo.

“Everyone would say Kojo for the reasons they’ve stated but Elaine family unit has been torn apart yet again by Cindy and she also asked George would she cover for him. However I’d probably still think Kojo as he probably thought it’d be a good place to hid it and also didn’t think to wash the blood off. The only other doubt that it wasn’t was that the barrel store was left open.”
However, another fan is convinced the weapon being there proves that it isn’t one of the Queen Vic residents.
“If the perp lived in the Queen Vic building, it would have been utterly stupid for them to “hide” the shovel on the premises without removing the b.l.o.o.d. Btw, nobody on the square knows that Cindy was hit with a shovel.”
Another theorised: “After watching today’s episode I am now not so sure that I suspect Elaine. She seems to be too suspicious of her own family,” whilst one wrote: “I think one of the people in the vic shovelled her, but I agree that Ian threw the brick to manipulate Cindy into staying with him!” Another penned: “My theory is either one person whacked her and several others came across that person at the time and they’ve agreed to keep shtum as nobody likes Cindy (could imagine this being Peter + the sisters with a high Lauren coming across them hence blood on scarf) or one person whacked unwitnessed but following the attack many people encountered her lying there and left her for dead, so they’re acting suspicious because really they should have called an ambulance.”
The reveal of who tried to attack Cindy is expected to come soon – but who do you think made the deadly blow?
