BBC EastEnders Reiss Colwell’s exit ‘exposed’ as Jonny Freeman ‘films final scenes’
EastEnders fans are convinced they know exactly how Reiss Colwell will leave Albert Square in the coming weeks after reports emerged that Jonny Freeman has filmed his final scenes
Soap sleuths are buzzing with theories after Jonny Freeman, who’s played Albert Square’s chilling character Reiss Colwell since 2022, is rumoured to be making his exit from theĀ EastEndersĀ later this year.
Jonny reportedly bid farewell to the show with a bash at The Wellington Pub in Borehamwood, having wrapped up filming his final scenes, as per Daily Mail reports.
Snapped attending the do were EastEnders’ very own Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler), Aaliyah James (Avant Nandra-Hart) and Charlie Suff (Johnny Carter).
The plot has thickened immensely for viewers with Sonia Fowler currently in court for the m.u.r.d.e.r of Debbie, k.i.l.l.e.d by none other than Reiss himself.
Fans will remember that plundering Reiss’ secret was Patsy Palmer’s Bianca Jackson who discovered Debbie’s ‘true’ k.i.l.l.e.r, only to end up trapped in Reiss’ soundproof lock-up.
One theory gaining traction involves Reiss meeting his demise during the soap’s landmark 40th-anniversary celebrations next month.
Avid follower of the show and resident tweeter speculated: “Reiss Colwell takes his own life in shock suicide plot during 40th Anniversary week has his lies about Debbie’s d.e.a.t.h and holding bianca captive in his lock up storage warehouse FINALLY get exposed.”, reports the Manchester Evening News.

One fan chimed in with a theory: “Guessing he’s one of the victims of the Queen Vic fire next month.. as his car was crashed into the debris of the vic.. so I assume he gets trapped and dies..”
Meanwhile, another viewer speculated: “Bianca is in the back seat and she tries to stop Reiss by distracting him, and as the Cafe explodes at the same time Reiss crashes his car into the Vic at the same time.”
