BBC EastEnders unveil three brutal break-ups for major couples as secrets exposed

Next week’s EastEnders episodes promise to be a rollercoaster for three smitten couples, as secrets unravel and relationships crumble.

Queen Vic’s landlady Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) and George Knight (Colin Salmon), who tied the knot in November 2024, are already seeing their honeymoon phase fade away.

On Monday (June 9), Elaine is still seething over her husband lending a hand to his spiteful ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), at The Albert.

As they begin to mend fences, Elaine presents George with a touching memento of his boxing career. However, another surprise awaits when his son Junior (Micah Balfour) shows up at the pub.

Junior discloses that George paid a visit to his mum, Sabrina, on Christmas night. It doesn’t take long for George to admit that Sabrina made a move on him, but he insists he rebuffed her, reports Belfast Live.

Elaine is once again heartbroken by George’s deceit and throws him out of the Vic. He sets off to find his son, but gets distracted by Cindy, who predictably offers a sympathetic ear.

Later, they share an embrace on The Albert’s balcony, all under Elaine’s watchful eye before she retreats to the café.

Upon her return to the bar, Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison) informs Elaine that George and Cindy left together looking rather intimate. This revelation prompts Elaine to make a shocking decision, but what will she do?

Elsewhere on the Square, bride-to-be Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) is left reeling after discovering an explicit video on Alfie’s (Shane Richie) laptop.

She confides in Jean (Gillian Wright), expressing her fears that Alfie has been indulging in adult content, oblivious to the fact that it’s Tommy (Sonny Kendall) who’s been viewing the material.

As the week progresses, the truth about the laptop comes to light, and while they look forward to their wedding day, worries about Tommy cast a pall over their joy.

Alfie confesses he’s botched several wedding preparations, leading Kat to voice her doubts and call off the nuptials, leaving Alfie heartbroken.

The couple later convene to discuss their wedding plans, but will they proceed with the ceremony?

In another part of the Square, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) frets over her marriage when Patrick (Rudolph Walker) turns down an opportunity for intimacy, offering up an excuse instead.

A distraught Yolande confides in Denise Fox (Diane Parish) about her troubled relationship with Patrick and her fear that things may never be the same between them.

Denise steps in to offer support to Yolande and Patrick during this rocky period in their relationship. With a long history together, will Patrick and Yolande manage to resolve their issues or could this signal the end for the beloved pair?
