Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) found Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) turning the house upside down in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.

Yesterday, Lydia and Belle found a camera on the floor of Dale Head. A horrified Belle made the conclusion Tom had planted it a few months ago and she – once again – had no idea.

Belle was looking for more cameras in Wishing Well. Noticing her anxious state, Lydia told Belle to sit down for some food, hoping she’d open up about the cameras and the prospect of reporting Tom to the police.

At first, Belle was very set on not putting herself through more stress with the police. After a period of time though, she started to ponder over her options and asked Lydia what it was like when she reported former childhood friend Craig.

Craig came into Lydia’s life just by chance. During a catch up with his friend, Craig learnt he was the father of a little baby called Toby. Lydia had given birth to him while in the children’s home, but he was stillborn.

Craig grew obsessive towards Lydia and raped her last year. Her attempt at reporting Craig didn’t work, as the police failed to charge him due to lack of evidence.

During their chat, Lydia told a fearful Belle that reporting Tom wouldn’t be the same as Craig, because they do actually have evidence of Tom being controlling and abusive.

As their afternoon together continued, Lydia found Belle outside.

She explained that now she’s said her thoughts, she will support Belle with whatever path she chooses to go down. It didn’t leave Belle with an exact conclusion, but it definitely gave her more to think about.

Later in the week, the next step in the right direction comes from Amelia, who seems to have woken up to Tom’s evil. She arranges to meet Belle privately and Belle is only too pleased to accept. But is it all part of a trap?

As Belle waits at the Dingles’ for Amelia to show up, she is horrified as Tom casually lets himself in, blocks the door and locks it. Belle is trapped and there’s no way out.

Now that he’s got her alone, what will Tom – who has nothing to lose – do?
