Upcoming episodes of Emmerdale will see Ruby Fox-Miligan’s (Beth Cordingly) father Anthony (Nicholas Day) d.i.e in cold b.l.o.o.d and perhaps unsurprisingly, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) is one of the main suspects.
Anthony arrived at the end of last year alongside granddaughter Steph (Georgia Jay). At first, he seemed a charming old man who wanted to get to reconnect with Ruby and get to know Caleb.
A flashback episode of the ITV soap then revealed Anthony’s sinister and evil true nature. He had s.e.x.u.a.l.l.y abused Ruby when she was a child, and the character hasn’t told a soul.
After a comment from Anthony about Steph’s biological father, Ruby decided to conduct a DNA test to know the paternity for certain.
In upcoming episodes, Steph is surprised to find her mum back together with Caleb and acting like nothing has happened between them.
Elsewhere, Anthony wakes up at Laurel’s (Charlotte Bellamy) nursing a hangover, but gets up and heads to Nicola’s (Nicola Wheeler), ready to tutor Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) unsupervised.
In the cafe, hearing that Nicola has left Angel on her own with Anthony, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) lets her know that Angelica isn’t safe around him. Rushing back home, Nicola confronts Anthony and says that she’s heard he’s a danger to children.
As he leaves, Anthony is found by Caleb. He orders him to get out of the car, but what does he have planned for his father-in-law?
Later on, a gunshot echoes through the village and Anthony is found d.e.a.d.
