Calvin’s Family Drama Explodes: Laura Kicked Out and Her True Colors Revealed!
“Your whole family turned against me and threw me out! They kicked me out of the family!” Laura angrily accused Calvin.
But Miranda quickly appeared and cut in: “No! Don’t twist the story! If you’re going to tell Calvin, tell the full truth!”
As we get closer to the final episodes, everything intensifies—and as expected, the only way to stop Calvin from marrying Laura is to destroy her image. And that’s exactly what they did.
At first, I thought Laura would be exposed as a cheater or be pressured into calling off the wedding. But no—they went for a full character takedown, turning her into someone truly unbearable. It’s a shame. Laura was never the most beloved character, but I didn’t expect her to be written off like this.
What surprises me is that Laura and Calvin’s relationship has lasted nearly five seasons, ever since she first appeared at the end of Season 9. Instead of letting them get married or break up peacefully, the writers decided to completely ruin her character.
It started when Laura got upset that Ella prioritized helping Miranda over cake tasting. But in the latest episodes, Laura has gone way too far—getting involved in Calvin’s legal issues with Tracy, showing clear hostility, and worst of all, disrespecting all the women in the family.
A future daughter-in-law disrespecting her potential mother-in-law in her own home? That’s a hard no.
Sure, Calvin isn’t perfect—he’s cheated on Laura twice. But if the show wanted them to break up, why humiliate her like this? Lisa, though no longer as central, has evolved as a character. Laura, meanwhile, is spiraling downward.
Even Lisa stood up for Ella when Laura acted out. That speaks volumes.
The worst part is Laura keeps painting herself as the victim, when in fact, she’s the one who started all the drama. She went to Ella’s house, saw Miranda there, and immediately snapped: “I’m not talking to you!” And everything went downhill from there.
Laura clearly “poked the beehive” and acted shocked when it stung back. But what I loved most was Miranda confronting her at home and interrupting her pity party in front of Calvin: “If you’re going to talk, tell the whole story!”
If Miranda hadn’t stepped in, Calvin might’ve taken Laura’s side and blamed his mom. Thankfully, he paused to think: “This is my mother—should my future wife be speaking to her that way?”
Miranda wasn’t always likable, but at least she’s Christian’s mother—Ella’s grandson—and still part of the family. Laura can’t just demand that everyone erase Miranda from their lives just because she’s the “new wife.”
By the end, Laura felt more like the evil stepmother from The Parent Trap—someone trying to erase the man’s past to keep him for herself.
Her final move? Calling her mom in as backup. But let’s be real—Ella and her daughters once took down Regina’s abusive ex-husband. What does Laura’s mom think she can do?
If Laura really meant it when she said, “I’m done!”—then she should just leave. But running back to her mom for help shows she’s not done at all.
Even her actions with Calvin Jr. reflect this. She called Devon without discussing it with Calvin, and admitted: “I just guessed. I wasn’t sure it would even work!”
Laura clearly isn’t thinking about the family’s best interests. In her mind, getting rid of Calvin’s son and Miranda was the way to keep Calvin. But if she can’t accept that Calvin has a past, has a child, and has responsibilities—then she shouldn’t be marrying him in the first place.
