Charity Dingle flees the village as she struggles to cope with her PTSD in Emmerdale

Next week, a distressed Charity Dingle runs away from Emmerdale as her mental health reaches another low point.
Harry aka Damon Harris caused considerable damage during his last stint in the ITV Dales but things came to a harrowing point for him when he was shot by Charity Dingle during a struggle.
Since then, the Woolpack landlady played by Emma Atkins has been finding it hard to move on with her life as she’s been plagued by panic attacks, night terrors and other PTSD-related symptoms.
In more recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based program, Charity’s husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) suffered the consequences of her poor mental health as she stabbed him during one of her night terrors.
Although Mack survived the attack, Charity has shown doubts regarding their relationship as she clearly continues to struggle.
Things could be going from bad to worse for the pair as she’s set to run away from the village.
Coming up next week, after opening up in her therapy session, Charity faces up to her abandonment issues.
Later that evening, tortured Charity ignores Mack’s babbling and leaves the house in a state of torment.
Mack’s confused when he comes downstairs to find Charity gone and quickly realises he made a mistake by refusing to give his wife the space she asked for
After some searching, Mack finally finds Charity’s car broken down at the side of a country road.
Can they get over this huge hurdle?
Could Charity have other ideas for their relationship?
Viewers of the long-running program have been keen to see Charity rekindle her relationship with Vanessa Woodfield as the beloved vet returned to the eponymous village in recent weeks.
However, Vanessa has been trying to get another ex’s attention, Suzy Merton.
Unbeknownst to her, Mary Goskirk has also been interested in starting a relationship with Suzy.
Could this lead Vanessa straight back into Charity’s arms?
Whatever the case may be, many viewers have been frustrated with Mackenzie and his many actions.
Soap watchers have been asking bosses to axe the hunk.
Could he be pushed out of the village after a break up with Charity?
