Cindy Beale’s EastEnders attacker ‘revealed’ after slipping up – but there’s a twist
The whodunit storyline has been leading up to EastEnders' 40th anniversary next month
CINDY Beale’s attacker appeared to be finally ‘revealed’ during Wednesday night’s EastEnders.
Die-hard fans of the BBC One soap have already watched tonight’s instalment thanks the early iPlayer drop.
Since Cindy Beale was whacked over the head with a shovel on Christmas Day and left for d.e.a.d, viewer theories have been rife.
The whodunit storyline will lead up to EastEnders’ 40th anniversary next month.
Fans recently watched as George Knight discovered the weapon used, covered in Cindy’s blood with strands of her hair.
During tonight’s episode, as George attempted to discard the shovel, Elaine followed a suspicious Anna in the cellar.
Catching her looking for the shovel, Elaine frantically calls George to come back with the evidence.
Later, the pair confront Anna who denies having knowledge of the weapon while looking worried.
She explained how she was getting stock in the cellar when she discovered the b.l.o.o.d.y shovel.
“It had b.l.o.o.d on it, I didn’t know what to do…
“I thought it must have been one of us, so I hid it.”
Anna added: “I didn’t attack mum, I swear.”
They then discovered the barrel store door wasn’t locked, once again opening up the whodunit.
Fans will have to continue waiting to find out who really did try and k.i.l.l Cindy.
EastEnders airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
