Tina Dingle’s (Samantha Power) only goal behind her return to Emmerdale is to get what she thinks she’s owed – namely, Wishing Well.
And she’ll do what it takes, even throwing her own son under the bus to get her hands on her perceived inheritance. Poor Vinny (Bradley Johnson). He doesn’t even know she is his mum.
Mandy (Lisa Riley) is desperate to hide this fact as she fears the implosion of her family if the truth gets out. Especially after Tina made it clear that she would lie about the circumstances of how Mandy acquired baby Vinny in the first place to paint her as the bad guy.
Tina’s continued presence in the village is causing anxiety. Sam (James Hooton) is worried when he can’t find Zak’s will and is particularly concerned that Tina has taken up residence next door.
Desperate to keep Vinny’s parentage a secret, Mandy does the unthinkable – she hands Tina the will.
The consequences of this act will be astronomic – she’s sold her whole family up the river in favour of protecting Vinny. She should be too ashamed to carry the Dingle name. Zak will be spinning in his grave.
With her nerves on a knife edge due to Tina’s proximity, Mandy is flabbergasted when Vinny sticks up for Tina, claiming she’s only there to get to know the family.
When Tina spots a drunk Sam she sees an opportunity to manipulate him, using his incapacity to try and make him agree to sell. In his state of limited consciousness, he inadvertently reveals that Vinny got all of Liv’s inheritance.
Now Tina knows there’s another pot of money on the table, and it’s her son who has it.
The screws are about to tighten on Mandy, Tina is now after an even bigger payout. Mandy’s blackmail nightmare is about to reignite.
