Commissioner Selwyn Patterson will be stepping down from his role in Dᴇᴀᴛʜ In Paradise with a new character stepping into his shoes.

Selwyn Patterson will no longer serve as Commissioner in the popular BBC series, Dᴇᴀᴛʜ In Paradise, leaving fans curious about his successor.
Since the show’s debut in 2011, Catherine Bordey (played by Elizabeth Bourgine) and Commissioner Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington) have been the only two consistent characters.
However, it was recently revealed that Selwyn would be stepping down from his role at Honore Police.
The upcoming episode, airing on Friday, March 6, will introduce a new character to fill this crucial position.
So the question now on everyone’s lips is who will replace Commissioner Selwyn in Dᴇᴀᴛʜ In Paradise?

Dᴇᴀᴛʜ In Paradise season 14 will welcome Sterling Fox, played by Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge, as the new police Commissioner in Saint Marie.
It’s hinted that Sterling will make quite an entrance, arriving in a flashy car and donning a suit.
But his first impression might not be the best, as he refers to Selwyn’s workspace as “cute”.
Reports suggest that Sterling may cause some friction with DI Mervin Wilson (Don Gilet) as he continues to probe into his mother’s suspicious Dᴇᴀᴛʜ .
Actor Blackwood-Cambridge, who will be taking on the role of Sterling, is known for his role as Josh Hudson in the BBC medical drama Holby City.

He has also starred in Enterprice, This Way Up, Make Me Famous and the Disney+ thriller Rematch.
As of yet though, it remains uncertain if Sterling will be a permanent character in Dᴇᴀᴛʜ In Paradise.
The BBC series is not listed on Blackwood-Cambridge’s IMDb page, suggesting he may only temporarily fill the Commissioner’s role.
But for now, the question remains: how will Sterling influence the Saint Marie police station and what activities will Selwyn engage in when off duty?
