Viewers will be waiting a bit longer than expected for the much-anticipated conclusion.

Viewers anxious to know how – or rather, if – Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise season 14’s loose ends will be tied up in the finale won’t have answers tonight.

The crime drama’s final episode has been delayed to make room for Comic Relief’s packed schedule, and won’t air until Friday 28th March 2025.

The BBC did release some images teasing the resolution of a major plot point involving Don Warrington’s Selwyn, however.

Last we saw, the long-standing Commissioner was all set to leave the island despite several efforts from his friends and colleagues to prevent it, and his much younger replacement was recently introduced.

The finale will also shed some further light on the case that brought incoming lead, Don Gilet’s Mervin Wilson, to Saint Marie in the first place – the case involving his presumed-dead mother, Dorna (Judith Jacob).

The schedule bump doesn’t mean we won’t get any Para-verse content tonight, though!

A crossover between Beyond Paradise and Not Going Out is confirmed as part of the Comic Relief schedule, which also includes a Gladiator showdown with Chabuddy G and a Strictly special.

As for the crossover, Sally Bretton stars in both of the hit shows, with scene partners Lee Mack (Not Going Out) and Kris Marshall (Beyond Paradise) taking part in the sketch.

It should tie us over until next week, when Mervin is set to become a suspect after a body is found in his shack.

“While he professes his innocence, the team is perplexed with the circumstances – namely how the victim ended up inside a locked building with no sign of forced entry,” the synopsis teased.

As though he doesn’t have enough on his plate as it is.

Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
