Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise bosses have shared a first-look image at the show's 2024 Christmas special, with fans taking to social media to share their excitement
The team behind Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise has given fans a tantalising glimpse of the upcoming 2024 Christmas special.
With just one week to go before the festive episode airs, their official social media channels released an image of the cast in holiday spirits.
The preview photo features Ram John Holder as Nelson Myers, donning a vibrant floral shirt, alongside a co-star dressed in full Santa garb, complete with an arm sling and carrying a package.
On Instagram, the show’s account playfully nudged: “Got all your Christmas shopping done? Just one week to go until we kick off Christmas week with the #DeathInParadise Christmas special!”

Devotees of the BBC series swarmed the comments section to express their anticipation, with some left gutted over the wait. One eager fan lamented: “I need it right now.”
Another chimed in with excitement: “Looking forward to watching it.” While numerous others shared their eagerness, commenting that they “can’t wait.”
The festive episode will introduce Don Gilet as DI Mervin Wilson, who tackles his inaugural Saint Marie conundrum involving three Santas shot by the same gun simultaneously, reports the Express.
The cast for the Christmas special includes Don Warrington as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas, Ginny Holder as Officer Darlene Curtis, Danny John-Jules as Officer Dwayne Myers, and Elizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey, with Ram John Holder reprising his role as Nelson Myers.
Joining the ensemble is comedian Marcus Brigstocke, stepping into the role of tourist Stuart Fullwell.
During a chat on BBC Morning Live with hosts Jacqui Joseph and Gordon Smart, the actor expressed his excitement about joining the cast: “Obviously I was thrilled because I know that Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise have been looking for the new detective.”
He continued, sharing his immediate reaction to the news: “So when the call came I instantly called Rachel my wife and said I’m pretty sure we are going to be moving to Guadalupe for six months out of the year.”
The actor also disclosed: “It was quickly made clear to me that I was going to be killed off but I was still over the moon. It’s a beautiful, brilliant, funny and engaging show. It’s so fun to do.”
