Death in Paradise star Ben Miller has dished the dirt on his forthcoming return in a new series of Professor T. Fans of the 58 year old actor, renowned for his stint as DI Richard Poole on the tropical detective show, are eagerly anticipating his portrayal of the enigmatic Professor Jasper Tempest, a role he has embraced since 2021.
Confirming his comeback for a fifth series during an appearance on This Morning with hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond on Friday, March 14, Miller teased that viewers can look forward to a ‘much lighter’ plot this time around.
Gearing up for the release, Ben shared: “I’m very excited, I got a new series of Professor T. We ended on a big emotional moment when Lisa, the main detective, lost her life and it was devastating for all the characters in the story.”
With expectations building, he further intrigued fans by revealing: “We are moving into a much lighter story now this series and love is in the air and love is in the air for Professor T, who begins to have a relationship with his therapist. It’s never straight forward but I’m excited.”, reports the Express.
