Drunk EastEnders teen Lily out of control as her life spirals
Grieving Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) continues to spiral out of control in EastEnders next week as she says goodbye to her beloved stepdad Martin Fowler (James Bye).
Forthcoming scenes will see the residents of Walford gather for the beloved fruit and veg trader’s funeral after he d.i.e.d in the aftermath of the devastating Queen Vic explosion in February.
Lily has been struggling to come to terms with Martin’s d.e.a.t.h, and has been angry at her mum Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) for disappearing in recent weeks.
Stacey has been spending time away from Albert Square with brother Sean Slater (Rob Kazinsky) in a bid to process her grief.
As fans know, Stacey secretly reunited with Martin as he lay trapped in the rubble of the Vic, and they made plans to spend the rest of their lives together shortly before he d.i.e.d.
Stacey returns home drunk on Monday, angering Lily who is trying to support her younger siblings Arthur and Hope.
But tensions between mother and daughter build further after the service when underage Lily hits the bottle herself.
With encouragement from Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James), she proceeds to get drunk.
Stacey finds her daughter intoxicated and realises she needs to make amends with her, but her efforts to do so fail.
However, the pair are brought together later in the week, united in rage after Martin’s market stall is destroyed in a fire.
Stacey makes a vow to Lily to find out who is responsible – but will she uncover the culprit?
