EastEnders airs unexpected ‘exit’ in game-changing twist for The Six
As Halloween arrived in Albert Square there was a thrilling twist that left The Six spooked as their Keanu Taylor murder drama appeared to finally come to an abrupt end after nearly a year
EastEnders aired a major twist for The Six on Halloween as Nish Panesar (played by Navin Chowdhry) appeared to take the blame for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) death on Christmas Day.
During Thursday’s spooky episode (October 31), which is available to watch stream early on iPlayer, Nish was settling in at the Panesar/Gulati family home after Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) agreed to reconcile with her abusive ex-husband.
The deal came after Nish discovered Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) murdered Keanu because he was trying to strangle Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) to death.
In exchange for Nish’s silence, Suki agreed to play happy families but it got all too much for her when he cooked a romantic meal and she fled to The Minute Mart.
Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) soon found Suki heartbroken and warned her to stay away from the man who had abused her for years. Suki insisted she could handle the situation before heading back home.
When she arrived, Nish once again turned violent and intended to sexually assault a fearful Suki. But Stacey rushed through the front door in time to save her followed by Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) and Avani (Aaliyah James).
Nish and Suki’s grandchildren looked terrified as he tried to reassure them it was “just an argument”. But Avani bravely confronted Nish and confirmed Suki did not love him anymore.
Tears fells down Nish’s face as he left the house as he demanded The Six, including Suki, Stacey, Sharon, Linda, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) meet him in The Queen Vic.
Nish asked the group of women to confirm where on his body Keanu was stabbed and what way he was facing when they buried him in the café.
Police sirens could be heard in the background and moments later Nish confessed that he was responsible for Keanu’s death.
Speaking to DCI Arthurs (Ian Burfield), Nish said it was his associates that fatally stabbed the mechanic with a meat thermometer and claimed he had planted the murder weapon at Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) flat, and that he forced Linda to confess by threatening her family.
Witnessed by Suki, Nish insisted that, as a dying man, he wanted to do the right thing – and she soon texted The Six that their ordeal was over.
Led away by police, Nish pleaded with Suki not to marry fiancée Eve Unwin (Heather Peace). As the women stood outside of The Queen Vic, Nish was allowed to watch the fireworks alongside Suki with the sparkling display matching the trademark colours of each of The Six.
Suki, Stacey, Kathy, Sharon, Linda, and Denise looked on as Nish was led away in the police, but is Keanu’s murder saga really over? Or will dying Nish pull another stunt?
