EastEnders’ Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) was forced to finally face her fears in order to help Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) on Wednesday.

Following her ordeal at the hands of twisted Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman), the Walford icon has been suffering from PTSD, which has manifested in panic attacks and agrophobia.

Her fear of leaving the house also caused an almighty row with her sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) earlier this week, as Bianca blamed her for everything that had happened to her.

When we returned to Albert Square on Wednesday, Kojo was there to comfort Bianca following her argument with Sonia, offering to collect some takeaway for them from Beale’s Eels.

However, there was an incident at the pie and mash shop after Kojo called out a group of boisterous lads having a food fight, which had seen some mashed potato thrown at a picture of the late Martin Fowler (James Bye).

As the boys refused to settle down, Kojo froze, leading Peter Beale (Thomas Law) to call Bianca for help.

Realising Kojo needed support, Bianca overcame her fears to leave the house and run over to Beale’s Eels.

The feisty Bianca we all know and love then re-emerged, as she and Sonia teamed up and threatened to spray the group of lads with fire extinguishers.

Back home, Bianca and Sonia apologised to each other and began making other plans outside the confines of No. 25 to help Bianca.

Sonia then received further good news when a call from the hospital revealed that her newborn baby Julia is ready to be discharged.

While things are looking up for the sisters, there is the small matter of Reiss’ funeral still ahead, which will throw up some serious challenges for Sonia.

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
