EastEnders’ Cindy hatches shocking and drastic plan to silence blackmailer
Things are about to get a whole lot more complicated for Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) in EastEnders later this month, as someone starts blackmailing her over her affair with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour).
As fans know, Freddie Slater’s recording device inadvertently captured her discussing her and Junior’s romance with former flame David Wicks (Michael French) back in October.
While the tape has yet to come to light, on Monday 23 December a copy of the recording falls into the wrong hands – and they waste no time in trying to use it to their advantage.
Cindy is horrified when her mystery blackmailer reveals they are in possession of the incriminating recording.
With the truth threatening to come to light, Cindy does all she can to keep her actions hidden, but has she done enough to make her blackmailer rethink?
On Christmas Eve, Cindy is fearing for her future with fiancé Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and concocts a drastic plan that shocks her family.
The Beales then receive an invitation from George Knight (Colin Salmon) to spend Christmas Day with him and the rest of the Knights at The Vic.
The stage is then set for the mother of all bombshells to drop around the Christmas dinner table, as the truth about Cindy and Junior comes to light in explosive fasion…
‘You’ll certainly be on the edge of your seats,’ actress Michelle Collins, who plays Cindy, says of the Christmas Day episodes.
‘I would say it’s dramatic, powerful and moving. A classic EastEnders.’
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 23 December at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
