EastEnders ramps things up a bit as we approach Christmas, as confirmed in my new spoiler pictures, with next week proving to be a tough one for various residents of the Square.
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) continues to seek solace in the bottom of a bottle, much to the dismay of son Johnny (Charlie Suff), who is told by Ollie (Harry Farr) of just how bad their mum’s alcohol addiction has become.
Johnny wastes little time in confronting Linda, who storms off following a heated row, going to stay with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) instead.
Sharon, however, isn’t in the mood for Linda’s behaviour and thus gives her a piece of her mind. But Linda is still in the grips of her addiction and thus she heads straight to the Minute Mart, where she steals a bottle of booze.
Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), meanwhile, arrives home from her honeymoon and her good mood is soon ruined when she learns of just how far Linda has fallen.
After a particularly tough day, Elaine issues Linda with an ultimatum. The question is: just what will Linda choose?
Elsewhere in the Square, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) is besotted, having spent the night with Sharon.
They decide to give things a go but Nicola (Laura Doddington) proceeds to wind Phil (Steve McFadden) up about the pair’s burgeoning romance, hoping that he will retaliate.
Nicola, however, makes quite a discovery about Phil and, despite promising to keep quest, she goes straight to Sharon with what she’s found out.
But just what has she uncovered? And what’s more, will it prompt Sharon to finish with Teddy?
It’s going to be quite a week in Walford, that’s for sure!
