EastEnders ‘confirms’ who exposes Harvey and Kathy – and it’s not Jean

Harvey Monroe’s (Ross Boatman) affair with Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) is a ticking time bomb – and it’s only a matter of time before one of the EastEnders finds out.
As viewers of the BBC soap know, Kath is engaging in a fully-blown fling, unable to resist romantic desires for pal Jean Slater’s (Gillian Wright) partner Harvey.
The pair had been innocently flirting for months, ever since a brief romantic encounter which saw her lean in for a kiss.
The pair were shocked by what had happened, and quickly shut down an opportunity of something more serious.
More recently, Harvey put on a grand gesture at the allotment after Kathy was left saddened over nephew Martin’s funeral.
She’d whipped up some peanut butter jelly sandwiches to propose to his ex-wife Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) that she cater for the service.
Whilst she was busy in the kitchen, Harvey learnt that an alternative supplier had been found and that her efforts had gone to waste.
She was severely disappointed – so he turned to his mate Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) for advice.
Without giving him the intimate details, he explained that he’d noticed Kathy’s low mood in the wake of Martin’s d.e.a.t.h, and felt like she was being pushed out of any of the plans.
Alfie suggested that he help her remember the beloved market trader in a different way – as the funeral wasn’t the only way to reflect on somebody.
Detailing moments from his own grief upon losing his beloved Nana in 2005, Harvey was left with food for thought and began to prepare a thoughtful evening for Kath.
As she headed to the allotment to meet him, she was surprised to see a romantic set-up with ambient lighting and the ingredients to make some new sarnies.
Touched by his gesture, she leant in for another kiss – but quickly darted off.
Later, they found themselves in one another’s company again and they jumped into bed. Knowing there was a huge risk, Harvey later told her that they shouldn’t pursue it any further.
However, could Alfie be the one who twigs that something untoward happening?
Will he be left in a predicament where he has to keep shtum – and therefore not confide the huge secret in his girlfriend Kat (Jessie Wallace), a member of the Slater clan?
