BBC EastEnders’ Phil Mitchell’s tragic ending ‘sealed’ after fans spot clue
EastEnders fans are convinced that Phil Mitchell will be k.i.l.l.e.d off over Christmas after he was seen talking to a bottle of alcohol as he struggled to fight temptation.
EastEnders fans are growing increasingly concerned for Phil Mitchell (portrayed by Steve McFadden) as his mental health seems to be deteriorating.
The character, a recovering alcoholic, has been tempted by alcohol, leading viewers to fear this could signal the end of the soap legend.
In Tuesday’s episode (December 10), Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) was taken aback when she unexpectedly found Phil living in a state of disarray.
Nicola is scheming to use a vulnerable Phil to break up their ex-partners, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
Upon discovering Phil’s home in a shocking condition, he furiously demanded her to leave and stay silent about what she saw. Despite promising to do so, Nicola quickly spilled the beans to Sharon, hoping it would reunite the pair.
When asked if there was any alcohol at Phil’s place, Sharon inadvertently revealed to Nicola that he was a recovering addict, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Sharon paid Phil a visit, which left him struggling to hold back tears as he attempted to confide in his former wife. However, their conversation was cut short when she received a text from Teddy.
Later, Nicola visited Phil again, bearing a gift and suggesting that he needed Sharon’s support during his difficult time.

As Phil watched, Nicola placed a bottle of alcohol on the table. Will Phil, a known alcoholic, give in to temptation?

A third fan shared their distress: “Really feels upsetting seeing Phil so sad. Steve McFadden plays emotion so well, and it looks like we’ll soon see the return of drunk Phil, too. I just hope my gut feeling that he is the one to d.i.e at Christmas is wrong. #EastEnders.”
Another pondered: “Wonder if #EastEnders will turn Phil into a drunk, and he’ll end up burning The Vic down with Phil being k.i.l.l.e.d?”.
The sentiment was echoed by another viewer who couldn’t bear the sight: “Watching Phil Mitchell depressed is something I cannot handle #Eastenders.”
