EastEnders fans baffled as ‘missing character’ returns with no explanation
EastEnders fans have been left confused after tonight's episode, which saw one character return to the Square without explanation after having not been seen in a while

It was a dramatic night in the Panesar household in the latest episode of EastEnders. Avani Nandra-Hart was visibly angry at her mother Priya after finding out about her outburst towards Detective Constable Callum Highway.
It came after it was revealed that the police wouldn’t be taking Avani’s complaint any further. The teen had lodged a complaint with the police after she was strip searched a few weeks ago, as the they suspected she was carrying drugs.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: “Nice to finally see Vinny & Nugget in tonight’s episode in what feels like years although given how Nugget was defending Nish for months he had no right to speak to Avani the way he did today,” as another questioned: “Where has he even been the last 12 weeks?”
It comes after fans were recently questioning the characters whereabouts during Avani’s heard hitting storyline. Earlier this week, one fan wrote: “Nugget and Vinny not being remotely around during this Avani storyline is totally unbelievable & silly.

“I’m not even really a fan of either. Still they would at least pop in and out at times due to their sister/niece experiencing all of this. #EastEnders.”
A second viewer questioned: “Another episode of me wondering where Vinny is does he even live at no. 41 anymore, i see ravi there more than him!! looooool,” as a third agreed: “guys…where the hell is vinny?? We haven’t seen the guy in agessssss, it’s kinda weird!”
Shiv Jalota made his onscreen debut as Vinny Panesar on the Square in 2019 alongside his brothers Kheerat and Jags. During his time on the soap, he’s been involved in a number of hard hitting storylines, including the d.e.a.t.h of his brother Jags in jail in 2021.
