This article contains spoilers for tonight’s EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

EastEnders fans have been left in awe at the ending of tonight’s episode, after some impressive use of lighting as The Six’s ordeal came to an end.

For the past ten months, The Six have been trying to cover up the fact that Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) stabbed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to death on Christmas Day.

There have been a number of near misses, and the women very nearly got away with framing Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) for their crime.

However, things backfired this week when Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) managed to draw a confession out of Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), before confronting the rest of the women.

At the end of tonight’s episode, Nish appeared to have a change of heart about shopping the women to the police, a instead took the wrap himself.

Fans of the BBC soap were thrilled to see The Six come out on top after a tumultuous year.

Throughout this storyline and the flash-forward that led up to it, one theme that has stood out has been the colours The Six were dressed in.

Countless theories spawned online about why each woman was wearing each colour, and scenes that saw the women wearing their individual colours always sparked discussion among fans.

Because of this, it seemed a fitting end to have The Six watching the fireworks, with the sky lighting up in each of their colours as the camera focused on them.

Taking to Twitter/X, fans were quick to share their praise.

‘One of the greatest EastEnders Doof Doofs Ever,’ Jane wrote. ‘The end of Nishandeep Panesar. The Six coloured fireworks. Standing together right up until the end. ITS OVER.’

‘The fireworks lighting up The Six in each of their colours was a cute touch,’ Matt agreed, while Charlotte added: ‘The fireworks in each of the six colours…CINEMA.’

‘A MASTERPIECE. Ten months later, fireworks firing left and right all year and FINALLY the six get to bathe in the light. Standing strong, hand in hand. Now THATS a doof doof,’ Shabs enthused.

Is this finally the end of The Six’s journey – or is there more to come?
