EastEnders fans spot hidden Christmas Day clue that ‘secretly revealed’ when Cindy’s attacker would be unmasked
A total of nine Walford residents are in the frame for her Christmas Day attack
EASTENDERS fans have spotted a clue that ‘secretly revealed’ when Cindy Beale’s attacker would be unmasked.
Fans of the BBC soap watched on Christmas Day as the character’s world fell apart when her affair was exposed.
After being humiliated by Lauren Branning in the Queen Vic, Cindy was turfed out by Ian Beale.
Multiple residents also brutally told her she’d be better off dead before she was attacked with a shovel, paving the way for a whodunit storyline.
But now fans have realised how bosses already ‘revealed’ when Cindy’s attacker would be unmasked.
As she waited in the freezing cold for a cab to take her out of Walford to Kings Cross, she was given an estimated wait time.
The character – played by Michelle Collins – was distracted as her taxi app told her: “Your driver is 40 minutes away.”
One eagle-eyed fan then said: “I like what you did with this foreshadowing moment right here. “40 minutes”. February gonna be good.”
EastEnders will celebrate its 40th anniversary on air with a whopping nine of Cindy’s family members in the frame for her assault.
EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw revealed: “Our 40th anniversary storylines have been in the works for some time, but even at the very start of planning, we knew that we wanted to reveal the identity of Cindy’s attacker as part of this.
“Many characters currently find themselves in the line of question, but over the coming weeks, the audience can look out for clues themselves to who may be the culprit.
“Cindy’s attacker reveal is just one of many stories we have planned for the anniversary as it is set to be a week of explosive drama for the audience to remember.”
