EastEnders’ George Knight (Colin Salmon) is rocked by a bombshell revelation from his ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) that threatens to derail his wedding this week.

Cindy has long been harbouring feelings for her ex, who is currently preparing to walk down the aisle with fiancée Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).

But rather than Cindy confessing her love, it’s actually a secret about Elaine that blows apart George’s relationship in forthcoming scenes.

In the build up to the big day, Elaine becomes worried about George’s loyalty to her and asks Cindy for her help.

At No. 45, she pleads with her love rival to set up a honey trap to see if George can be swayed, to which Cindy eventually agrees.

Cindy plans to meet George at Junior’s (Micah Balfour) flat, and its not long before the former couple are taking a trip down memory lane and she lunges for a kiss.

While we don’t yet know how Geroge will respond, he soon learns of the real reason Cindy tried it on with him.

He is in disbelief when Cindy reveals all about Elaine’s honey trap and heads back to The Vic to seek answers from his fiancée.

As the day of their wedding arrives, it remains to be seen if the nuptial are on or not…

Actress Harriet Thorpe, explains that Elaine feels she needs to test George ‘for her own peace of mind’ as the threat Cindy presents has always been ‘lurking’.

She says: ‘There is always that threat in the writing because Cindy is the antithesis of Elaine and she is gorgeous like a model and Elaine is more panto.

‘I think as a viewer you see the choice George has. He’s got this beautiful woman who lives over the road and yet he’s with Elaine in the pub having a laugh. It’s what do you choose? What is going to last and what matters?

‘You’ll have to wait and see…’
