EastEnders’ Harvey and Kathy to face setback in secret affair plot

EastEnders’ Harvey Monroe and Kathy Cotton are set to face a setback in their secret affair plot.
The two characters have been embroiled in an affair since March, which came as Harvey has felt shut out by partner Jean following Martin Fowler’s d.e.a.t.h.
In new scenes set to air next week, an upset Kathy looks for a bit of an escape with Harvey. She’s been forced to deal with a returning Cindy, who reveals to everyone that it was Kathy who attacked her at Christmas.
As the secret couple enjoy each other’s company, however, they are unexpectedly interrupted by Jean.
As Kathy tries to cover, Jean barely notices as she’s too worried about Nigel. Nigel is struggling with dementia and believes amid the upcoming VE Day anniversary that it’s 1995.
Later on, Kathy is invited on a caravan holiday by Harvey, though their plans backfire when Jean finds a brochure for the trip. As such, the Slaters make the assumption that the break is for them.
Will Harvey have to go through with it?
Meanwhile, amid Cindy’s return, she ruins Lauren and Peter’s engagement party by revealing the truth about Kathy’s attack and clashes with Lauren.
However, events take a twist back at Lauren’s flat when she goes into labour — with only Cindy on hand to help.
“Putting their animosity aside, Cindy calls an ambulance but is told it could take ages,” our insider recently teased. “She has to take matters into her own hands to get Lauren to hospital as soon as possible.”
