EastEnders hints at surprise person who will save Bianca and take down Reiss

With Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) held hostage in EastEnders, an unlikely local could be the key to saving her.

As we know, she’s been locked up in a storage unit by twisted Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) since Bonfire Night, after learning that he was the one who killed his comatose wife Debbie – not her sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy).

The killer revealed that he still had the pillow that he’d used to smother his poor defenceless wife in storage and told Bianca that if she gave it to the police, Sonia would be released from prison fairly quickly, given his fingerprints would be all over the item.

He would then flee the area and she’d never see him again.

Sadly, he’d lured her there under false pretences and he slammed the door on her. She’s been tied to a wall and doesn’t even have proper toilet facilities.

On a number of occasions Reiss’ cover has been almost blown. He was firstly spotted by Martin Fowler (James Bye) pushing a heavy suitcase through his hallway, which contained essentials for his new prisoner.

Martin also clocked that his head was bleeding, and he quickly covered saying that he’d been attacked by Bianca, who had then driven off in her taco van.

Police officer Callum Highway (Tony Clay) called round to question Reiss over the altercation, but he managed to wriggle his way out.

In tonight’s episode he was strolling through the Square when Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) approached him to ask whether he’d heard from Bianca.

The two have struck up quite the friendship when Freddie helped her be referred for an ADHD diagnosis.

Reiss was startled by Freddie’s confrontation and shut him down, scurrying off to his house.

Is someone finally onto his devious ways?

Later, Fred approached Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie (Shane Richie) in the cafe and told him about his unusual encounter with Reiss. This sort of behaviour was no surprise to the couple as they’d seen how shifty he could be in the past.

Kat was evidently worried about Bianca’s whereabouts, but her focus soon moved to ex-husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) who had walked into the eatery and noticed that she was back with Alfie.

After Phil goaded Alfie, telling him to ‘enjoy [the relationship] whilst it lasts’, Kat sat dow with him and tried to make amends.

During their chat, the topic of conversation moved over to Reiss, and Phil told her that he’d never trusted ‘four-eyed freak’ Reiss, and neither should she.

As a result, she charged over to his house and slammed on the door. He was busy loading some of Bianca’s washing into the machine and was terrified when Kat began demanding answers.

Once again he managed to squirm away from the subject matter and said he was too busy. For Kat, this wasn’t over.

Will divorcees Phil and Kat be instrumental in his downfall?
