EastEnders icon returns, gets n.a.k.e.d in public, then leaves again because why not?
Mickey Miller (Joe Swash) has left Albert Square in EastEnders, after stripping off in the middle of his old home.
Obviously.
The beloved character made an unexpected return yesterday after getting word about the possible Bridge Street market closure. Despite his troublesome background that often involved working with scammer Mo (Laila Morse), it turns out Mickey has actually done quite well for himself.
Sitting outside, Mickey told Mo, Stacey (Lacey Turner), Kim (Tameka Fox) and Martin (James Bye) that he’s now a successful businessman. He runs a company called Miller’s Villas alongside his family where his mum does the laundry, Dawn (Kara Tointon) works front of house, and his dad helps out where he can.
In tonight’s episode, topic of conversation for Mickey was the naked calendar Mo was organising. She hopes to raise enough money to stop the market from closing, and has enlisted the likes of Ravi (Aaron Thiara), Zack (James Farrar) and Mickey for the monthly snaps.
When Mickey got word Kim had plastered pictures of him all over her social media, he was pretty horrified. He told Mo that people from the polo club might see them and think less of his family business.
With that, as the evening continued, Mickey decided to sort some new pictures.
He stood in the Square gardens with a present covering his er, well you can guess what, and believed a small eye mask would be enough to completely hide his identity.
As Martin and Mo helped, Mickey then received a phone call.
To his surprise, Mickey’s mum confirmed the pictures had actually created a positive impact on the business – there was no need to cover his face after all.
With the donations made, Mickey was ready to leave. He hugged a tearful Mo and glanced out in front of him, reflecting on the life he once lived in Walford.
He hopped into his shiny posh car and departed, shouting ‘Love you Mo!’, as he drove out of the Square.
Let’s hope it won’t be another 14 years until we see Mickey Miller again.
