EastEnders’ Joel Marshall’s ‘downfall sealed’ as dad Ross makes horrifying discovery

It was another dramatic night in Albert Square in tonight’s episode of EastEnders as Ross made a shock discovery when searching through his son Joel’s phone.
Earlier in the week, Joel had invited Avani round, and the two were caught red handed when Vicki and Ross walked in after they had slept together. The teen, who arrived with his step mother Vicki Fowler and his dad Ross earlier this year ahead of Martin Fowler’s funeral, has displayed disturbing behaviour since his arrival.
Viewers are aware that Joel was the one who had racked up a $50,000 debt, as his dad hoped a life in Walford would be a new start. However, Joel started showing concerning behaviour in recent weeks, after showing Tommy X-Rated videos on his phone while at a party.

In tonight’s episode, Joel’s dad Ross was seen searching through his phone, as he came across a video of the teen setting up the camera before Avani entered his house. In the video, Joel could be seen placing the recording phone in the living room before Avani walked in. In a shock twist, it was revealed Joel had filmed the whole thing without Avani knowing.
“Are you sure your parents aren’t going to be in until later?” Avani could be heard saying as she walked into the room. Afterwards, Joel could be heard asking Avani if she’s regretting what they did, to which she responded: “No, of course not.”
Ross could then be seen looking morfied, as he threw Joel’s phone on the table face down in shock. Now, fans are convinced Joel’s ‘downfall is sealed’ when Avani’s dad Ravi Gulati gets his hands on him.

Taking Reddit, one fan wrote: “I look forward to what Ravi has in store for him,” as another predicted: “He will get dangled off a bridge, and also dropped from it,” referencing his famous scene with Barney Mitchell.
“It’ll be brutal, I know,” said a third. “But I bet he’ll be restrained by someone before he unleashes 100% of that brutality on Joel’s head.”
Others are convinced they now know Joel’s big secret, as one penned: “Just a thought. I think potentially Joel did the same thing Aus that he’s done to Avani. That ‘debt’ was actually hush money to stop the girls parents going to the police or dropping the case. Ross is totally complicit to his son, Vicki maybe doesn’t know.”
Spoilers for next week reveal a showdown between Ravi and Ross after he learns Avani and Joel have slept together but could Ravi make things much worse for Joel?
