EastEnders star Louisa Lytton is swapping the Square for the stage as she takes on a new role away from the BBC soap.
The Ruby Allen actress, 35, reprised her part last month for an extended stint to coincide with the upcoming 40th Anniversary celebrations.
She’s one of the latest in a long line of returnees who have reprised their Walford counterparts over last year.
Her return story was ‘sealed’ when Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) had heard from Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) that Ruby had given birth to a son two years ago.
After she confessed to Martin Fowler (James Bye) that the child was likely his, Ruby burst into the room and confessed all.
She initially denied having him in her care – saying that he had been placed up for adoption – but it soon transpired that he had been hospitalised and was awaiting an organ transplant.
