EastEnders ‘lets slip’ return for three icons 25 years after debut – and it’s ‘days away’
EastEnders viewers are convinced a scene on the BBC soap has given away three huge returns to the BBC soap after recent hints, with an iconic family possibly reuniting
New EastEnders scenes have left fans convinced three iconic characters could be making a long-awaited comeback to the BBC soap.
A scene on the show which focused on a photo of a particular much-loved family in Walford has left viewers in meltdown. With one current character seemingly vanishing, the close-up of a photo of the family has sent the rumour mill into a spin.
The scene in question focussed on a photo frame, with the original Slater family members in the snap. Alongside current Walford residents Kat Slater and Mo Harris were Kat’s sisters Little Mo and Lynne, as well as Kat’s daughter Zoe Slater.
The trio, especially Mo and Zoe, have often been mentioned over the years and in recent months. Not only that, but cast members sparked speculation that returns were on the cards for all three absent Slaters just months ago, with two separate reunions leaving fans convinced the Slaters would be back.
Now with the BBC soap celebrating its 40th birthday this week and rumours of returns and drama, fans are wondering if one or two if not all three of the missing Slaters will be back. With Kat seemingly going AWOL around Big Mo’s birthday and the camera panning in on the family photo, fans are convinced Lynne, Zoe and Little Mo will all be back on the show very soon.

One viewer posted on X: “Is this a clue? Has Kat gone to pick up Zoe, Lynne and Little Mo to bring them to the reception #EastEnders?” Another fan posted: “The zooming in on the beloved Slater sisters omg PLEASE be a clue of great things to come.”
A third fan said: “Omg what if one of the Slater sisters comes back I need it now,” as a fourth tweeted: “The Slater close up! Who’s coming back! I hope it’s all of them – Little Mo, Lynne AND ZOE!” A fifth viewer posted: “We are 100% getting a Slater return this week,” as another said: ” The og Slater photo frame??!?????”
It comes after Zoe actress Michelle Ryan recently left fans wondering if she was finally returning to the show, after her reunion with Little Mo actress Kacey Ainsworth. As fans asked her if she would be making a comeback, she hinted she would not rule it out and that it wasn’t down to her.
Around the same time, Lisa Fowler actress Lucy Benjamin reunited with pal and former co-star Elaine Lordan, who played Lynne, for a sweet meet-up, and took to social media to share a lovely selfie of them together. This snap like Michelle’s sparked speculation they could be returning to the soap.
Just this week we saw Lynne’s ex-husband Garry Hobbs make his own return after years away. Other returns, including David Wicks, Nigel Bates and Grant Mitchell, have also aired in recent months.
