EastEnders Linda Carter set to be rocked by huge return and it’s not Max Branning
BBC EastEnders fans will be thrilled to see the return of a familiar face to Walford, only months after it was revealed that they had a huge connection to the Carters.
EastEnders fans are in for a surprise as Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton) is set to make a comeback, just months after Elaine Peacock (Harriett Thorpe) unveiled a family secret that left her daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) utterly stunned.
Rewind to November 2024, when Elaine was gearing up to wed George Knight (Colin Salmon), and a drag act turned up at The Vic for her glitzy hen party. The night took an unexpected twist when Elaine recognised the performer and promptly asked him to leave.
This led to Elaine confessing to Linda that Drew was the mystery man her father had an affair with years ago.
Although Elaine and Drew managed to reconcile and move past their history, it seems more drama is on the horizon with Drew’s sudden return in forthcoming episodes.
The week begins with Elaine still seething at George for aiding his spiteful ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), at competing venue The Albert during its relaunch. As they start to mend fences, Elaine presents George with a thoughtful gift celebrating his boxing career, reports Belfast Live.
However, another surprise is in store when George’s son Junior (Micah Balfour) shows up at the pub with shocking news.
Junior discloses that George visited his mother, Sabrina, on Christmas night. It doesn’t take long for George to admit that Sabrina made a move on him, but he insists he rebuffed her advances.
Elaine is left heartbroken again by George’s deceit and gives him his marching orders from the Vic. He sets off to find his son, but gets distracted by Cindy, who predictably lends a sympathetic ear.
Later, they share an intimate moment on The Albert’s balcony, all under Elaine’s watchful eye before she retreats to the café.
Upon her return to The Albert, Felix Baker (played by Matthew James Morrison) informs Elaine that George and Cindy departed together looking rather close.
This prompts Elaine to invite an unknown individual to join her at the bar. As she waits, a bloke named Stephen attempts to strike up a conversation with her.
However, Drew Peacock makes a timely entrance, promptly dismissing Stephen. What could Elaine possibly want with Drew?
And how will Linda react when she learns that the man who caused her mother so much distress is back in Walford?
Drew offers Elaine some words of encouragement, inspiring her to make a significant decision. But what action will she take?
It comes after reports that Linda’s one time lover Max Branning (Jake Wood) is heading back to the Sqaure.
He’s unaware that Linda has since given birth to his daughter Annie so their reunion set to be shaky.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
