EastEnders reveals scenes with Denise & Ravi that will NEVER be shown after she chooses Jack – as fans fume over result
How did you feel about the outcome of the anniversary episode?
EASTENDERS has revealed a look at the deleted scenes starring Denise Fox and Ravi Gulati that never made it to air following the live interactive vote in the show’s 40th anniversary episodes.
The BBC soap opera had a soap-first when they allowed the public to decide the outcome of who Denise would end up with live.
Fans of the show had 24 hours to choose between Jack Branning, played by Scott Maslen, and Ravi Gulati, played by Aaron Thiara.
All three actors rehearsed scenes for whatever the outcome and they were informed just 20 minutes before the live episode began as to which partner had won the vote.
With Jack being crowned the winner, it meant that any plans for Denise to end up with Ravi were lost.
However, new images from rehearsals of the live episode have shown Denise and Ravi’s potential scene for the first time but they will never make it to air.
In the snaps, the pair could be seen looking closer than ever as they shared a passionate smooch with each other.
Another image showed Denise in the arms of Ravi on his sofa as they enjoyed a tender embrace in what would have been the moments of them finally reuniting.
Whilst some fans were left over-the-moon as Denise finally reunited with her ex – others were less than impressed that she wouldn’t be entering into a new romance with Walford hunk Ravi.
They raced to X to have their say after the vote was revealed and many were seriously unhappy.
One person wrote: “I’m always disappointed in the uk when it comes to collectively making the right decision bc wdym denise chose jack??? BORING.”
Another added: “Not happy about Denise choosing Jack but that ending had me sobbing.”
As a third penned: “Can’t believe Denise chose Jack, we’ll have such boring storylines for them now which is a shame.”
