Fresh pictures from the set of the BBC soap opera show Lacey Turner’s character inconsolable as she finally says goodbye to her true love.
The cast of the BBC soap opera were out in full force to film the heartbreaking scenes which will be broadcast in the coming weeks.
Dressed in a large black coat, Stacey can be seen with tears streaming down her face as she clutches hold of something.
Elsewhere, new Vicki Fowler actress Alice Haig has been snapped on-set for the first time since The Sun exclusively revealed that original actress Scarlett Alice Johnson had opted not to make a comeback.
Vicki could be seen being comforted by her partner Ross as she stood by Martin’s graveside looking deeply emotional.
Ross, played by former The Bill star Alex Warkinshaw, also looked moved despite not having a connection to Martin.
Bianca Jackson and Jean Slater were also seen in mourning as the funeral took place.
The cast of the BBC show had to deal with torrential rain during filming with many of them hiding underneath umbrella’s at any given opportunity.
Fans had a massive shock when Martin, played by James Bye, d.i.e.d during the live 40th anniversary episode last week.
No one had expected the character – who has been part of the show since the 80s – to be k.i.l.l.e.d off so suddenly.
Martin d.i.e.d in Stacey’s arms in the closing seconds of the final live episode, having been crushed under a falling steel beam in the Queen Vic pub after an explosion.
In heartbreaking scenes he proposed and planned the next 40 years of their lives before the paramedics told Stacey that he would likely not survive his injuries.
Stacey couldn’t bring herself to tell Martin what was happening, but he realised.
